This book brings two distinct bodies of work by Delhi-based Vivan Sundaram (b.1943). Gagawaka consists of some thirty wearable, sculptural garments made from recycled materials and medical supplies, while Postmortem is comprised of large and small mannequins, tailor's dummies, anatomical models, and wooden props and deploys Surrealist devices to present the human body on a more disquieting stage.
